What firewall platforms does PureTechs support?
FortiGate, Sophos, pfSense and MikroTik are the platforms we deploy and support day to day. The choice depends on user count, internet speed, VPN needs and budget — not on a partnership quota.
When should a Mumbai business replace its firewall?
When it is the ISP router; when the vendor has stopped issuing firmware; when nobody can explain its rules; when remote staff need VPN it cannot provide; or when an audit has flagged it. Age alone is not the trigger — unsupported firmware is.
Can staff work from home securely?
Yes. A VPN on the firewall with per-user credentials and MFA where supported, and RDP or file access only through that tunnel — never open to the internet.
Will the firewall slow down the internet?
Not if it is sized correctly for your line speed and the features you switch on. Undersized boxes with every inspection feature enabled are the usual cause of "the firewall made things slow".
Do you support an existing firewall we bought elsewhere?
Yes, if it is a supported platform with valid firmware. We start with a rule and firmware review and tell you honestly whether it is worth keeping.
How much does a business firewall cost?
It depends on user count and internet speed, the platform chosen (FortiGate, Sophos, pfSense or MikroTik), how many VPN users and branches need connecting, and whether dual-ISP failover is in scope. We quote after understanding your setup, never before.
